Short-term Care Guidance

We often have reports of turtles being relinquished or found and the person now in charge of their care, is unsure what to do. If the animal is sick or injured, they will ideally need to see a vet. Vets often contact rescue and rehoming centres to have the turtle rehomed or cared for once treated. The National Centre for Reptile Welfare has provided short-term care guidance to be followed whilst waiting for collection of the animal or transporting to a licenced sanctuary.
